A few days ago my batteries (one standard, one Seido) began only lasting 4 to 5 hours. I had reloaded operating system prior to that, and thought that might have caused something to a problem.
After trying reloading, etc., I realized I had recently used one of my photos as the home screen. I was seeing a lot of hour glasses, and the phone felt warmer. It turns out that at least on my phone, if you use a photo for home screen that is stored on the memory card, it really uses up the battery. I saved the image to internal memory and it has been fine since then. Many of you might already know that this can cause a battery life issue, but I didn't. Glad I figured it out before sending phone back for exchange.
I have a photo that's stored on my memory card as my background and I haven't had any issues. I can see how that could be an issue though. As noted above, good troubleshooting.
I have an SD card pic as my home screen, and also dont have any problems.
My thinking would be it all depends on the size of that picture.
2 picturs with the right pixel aspect ratio for the Bold, but 1 is 3kb and the other 300kb, the latter is going have more problems.
