When I sync my blackberry with my desktop manager I have been getting the error below, but when I uninstall the software and reinstall it's fine.
ERROR: Unable to get data from an outlook or MS Exchange record. Lack of network access to MS Exchange Server can cause this problem.
Retry and if problem persists, please refer to the on-line help top.

Here the easy answer
turn all the blackberry applications (desktop manager and redirector) off on your computer
remove (or rename) the following folder : C:\Documents and Settings\(YOURUSERNAME)\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Intellisync
