Why do you have to manually set up the wifi feature on the Blackberry? On the iphone you only have to set it up once, and then it automatically picks up the wifi signal from then on.
How are you trying to connect? If you use the Set Up WiFi icon, then yes, you will have to enter the info each time. If you use Manage Connections and just turn WiFi on it will connect to a recognized network. At least that's how it works for me.
