Default Moving account to different Exchange server

Please Login to Remove!

We've created a new Exchange server and moved all email accounts over. However, we are unable to receive email on the BlackBerrys now that the mailboxes are on the new Exchange server. We've tried to re-activate the BBs, to no avail. The only thing that works is creating a brand new BES user and then activating using the new user. We can't delete everyone on the BES and start over, so is there any way to easily migrate the BES user to the new Exchange server, without losing filters and settings?

Thanks!

You haven't set up the BESAdmin account to have access to the mailboxes on the new server. Once you've done that, you will be able to move accounts back and forth between two servers without telling BES to do anything.

You need to give the BESAdmin account "Administer information store" rights on the Exchange server. We've seen this a number of times when setting up our DR server and it's the one thing that gets overlooked.

Thank you for the response, but the BESAdmin account has the same privileges on both servers. That's not the issue.

Have you tried recycling the BlackBerry services? You shouldn't have to but RIM will recommend this sometimes. Are you seeing MAPI / blocked worker threads messages in the Application log?
