I have seen the T-Mobile UK and T-Mobile Germany 8700g. They both have the exact same color. I doubt that T-Mobile will introduce a different color just for the U.S.. The 7290 and 7100 had the same color in all three countries. So I expect the same for the 8700g.

So can anyone verify what CASE is going to be included in the U.S. T-Mobile 8700g?

It comes with the hard plastic black holder, like the ones for the 6200/7200 series, but it's specifically designed to fit the 8700. Its seems to be OK, I have not had any problems with it. At least it isnt the piece of garbage type case that comes with T-Mobile's 7100t and 7105t.
I have been using the 8700g demo I received for over 2 days now and I am so impressed with it that I am going to swap out my 7105t as soon as we place and receive our first order of them. I cant get over how good the screen is and the speed of the browser when I am on an EDGE signal (about 90% of them time). They keys are a tiny bit smaller than the 7230, but I have gotten used to them and made some adjustments in the way I type. I dont even mind not having the more phone friendly design of the 7100 series when I dont have my bluetooth headset on. Overall, I give this device a huge thumbs up and if the price is right, I think it will be a big seller for T-Mobile.

Just ordered mine
I Just ordered my 8700g from ushopwireless. I can't wait. I owned a 7230 and also a 7100t in the past but found them to be too slow for my taste so I gave them up. With edge and the intel processor in the 8700 I am happy to say I am back in the crackberry patch.

Is that a reputable place to buy from? Something seems fishy about them already have a price up before they get their first phones...

Black & Blue
This image from the blackberry website shows that the 8700g is not black like the 8700r, but rather an extremely dark blue. At least it is dark enough to look black.

I will let you know. I figure I will give it a try. I searched here in the forums and on the internet and couldn't find anything bad about them. Believe me if things don't work out I will let everyone know.

heres the fine print on ushopwireless.com
I understand that all the offers on this website are for New T-Mobile accounts only. By placing the order on this website or by phone, I agree that I am signing a new contract with T-Mobile. This new account shall not be changed for four (4) months after activation or I will be charged a penalty of four hundred forty nine ($449) dollars from Venicom, Inc. as a measure to recover the cost of the promotional device. The Penalty will be charged to my credit card of record.
Sounds ****ing shady that they would keep your credit card number, anyone agree with me that id rather pay tmobiles price and not have my creditcard info stored somewhere?

It's a standard reseller move. They're willing to sell you a handset below their cost (well, that's somewhat of a lie) because they want to take commission on your contract, if you cancel it, they have to recoup somehow.

well, the ushopwireless deal is only good if you buy a voice plan + data plan. if you buy only a blackberry plan then you get a different (presumably less attractive) deal.
