Me too. Just tried it and no difference.
I then tried a reset defaults in wifi and a battery pull, after which a new scan and the wifi connected.
Before that there was no IP address from the router which is pretty basic bad news stuff, so there was never a chance of getting to the BIS server etc.
Its all very arbitary sadly. In Barnes and Noble the other day WiFi came up immediately and worked first time. Most other connections just don't work and won't work. More like the old early days of internet connections with Windows when most of the stack worked but this was never enough
Hope Blackberry will really sort this out. The 9700 is a fine device and the ability to switch off roaming data is great but the wifi needs to work consistently.
Just to add that in all the other connections that failed a normal laptop worked just fine.
