Is it possible to view pictures from your phone in your PlayBook using Bridge Files?

Mine would just divert me to my PlayBook pictures.

Yes, you should be able to do so, I can.

I can access the 4 gig onboard storge and Micro SD card to open pictures

Same problem for me. I can see the files, select one and choose open. Then I end up at the playbook pictures (not from the 9800).

1.07.2670 fixed this for me. Woohoo! RIM fixed a bug instead of just adding new features. Hopefully I will be able to open calendar attachments eventually.
