Default OS: 8120 4.5.0.152/4.5.0.110 (Multilanguage)

Please Login to Remove!

Software For BlackBerry® Pearl (TM) 8120 smartphone
Multilanguage

Will load to any carrier's 8120, follow the instructions below.

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.152 (Multilanguage)

Package Version: 4.5.0.152
Consisting of:

* Applications: 4.5.0.110
* Software Platform: 2.7.0.90
* File name: 8120M_PBr4.5.0_rel152_PL2.7.0.90_A4.5.0.110_AT&_T. exe
* File size: 96.68MB

Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

Download HERE

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

For the previous release of this OS: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ilanguage.html

Default If ur havin difficulty....

I had a lil trouble installing. Ended up having to manually initialize "apploader" in the same directory as "vendor.xml". Just thought I'd post this in the hopes of saving someone else pulling their hair out ;) Running Vista (surprised anyone?), DM 4.7. Have updated the handheld software successfully with prior releases.
Now, I want my hair back, dammit. ;)

i had the same problem too. everytime i upgrade, i do a wipe first - then do a clean OS install. this time, things went a little ary, and i ended up having to load apploader the old fashioned way. (10 "cd.." 's later) ..

Im only getting the COM3 option when running loader.exe? The Blackberry modem driver is ok, but loader.exe doesn't detect USB? Any suggestions? BTW Im using Desktop Manager 4.7, Im currently downgrading to DM 4.6 maybe thatll help.

*UPDATE* Downgrading to DM 4.6 fixed the problem and got the USB to work via loader.exe. I can't believe RIM didnt test DM 4.7 with most Blackberry 4.5 OSs before releasing it

I've been seeing my sms messages delayed OR not confirming the receipt a lot since installing this - anyone else or is just a fluke?

Also, as with the previous version my tmo fave5's do not create an autoprofile exception as it used to in earlier versions back in the day. For example, by defaault your fave5's have the 'tjingle' ringer to make them distinct OR should you go in and change the ringer for any of your 5 contacts through the fav5 menu it would auto change in the profile. Not anymore. This is really annoying cause I do not want to change the contacts ringer in the address book i case I take them off the 5.

Fixed the fav5 issue by removing service books - funny as that never worked before when I tried...

I've noticed the same, in regards to delivery receipts not coming through. Not sure if the actual SMS messages are delayed.... Originally thought this was a T-Mo problem and not the BB, but now that you mention it, the issue started the same time I updated the device software.

Default 4.5.0.110 - bberry 8120

Rock solid OS.
Installed without any problems on three 8120 devices.
No more errors or restarts.
Fully recommended.

I used the following link to upgrade my 8120 from 4.3.0.91. It did everything automatically. No downloads, no need to erase files, no problems! Worked perfect!

I did back up everything using Desktop Manager just in case.
Just plug your phone into your pc and let it do its stuff.

I expect a different issue, with this os 4.5 I need to increase the volume when I'm talking because it's listen too low or even with echo. So I downgraded back to 4.3 and I correct the problem. I'm using a 8110 at&t unlocked for t- mobile.

I have noticed that now my memory card does not come available when I h/u to my pc. Did not have this problem before. The media card prompt does not come on whether I set for permit or ask. Kinda sucks for moving pictures and themes to the card manually. Also lost all my wallpapers from the phone.

after downgrading back to 4.3.0.72 the 8120 works eventually fine again.... even the 4 Gb card is detected no more F****** around and re-booting each and everytime receiving or making a call.
CANNOT RECOMMEND AN UPGRADE TO ANY 4.5 OS tried all available the last 2 weeks to get this re-booting issue solved
