i recently updated to the latest OS, SmarTone-Vodafone - v4.2.2.265 / 4.2.2.146

I had to edit the blackberry.alx file myself for some reason, the one provided in the thread did not work for unlocking all themes

I also edited the platform.alx file to get rid of PTT...

anyway, after the phone was loaded with the new OS, i noticed a new folder "Instant Messaging", with nothing in it, i deleted the folder and all was well, until the first time i did a "soft reset", the folder came back... then i did a hard reset and the folder appeared again...

is there anyway to keep this folder from popping up EVERYTIME i reset the phone? its a stupid problem, more annoying than anything...

any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

BTW, where is that folder, I have the same OS and I don't see any "Instant Messaging" folder

I'm an idiot and didn't think of hiding it... Actually, I already have a hidden folder made for unused icons, so now what i'll do is just make that instant messaging folder the folder i put all my unused icons...

I take the above back, it will NOT let me Hide the folder until I "Edit" it somehow, ie change folder icon or name...

Anyway, I changed the folder icon, then hid the folder... did a soft reset, and it stayed hidden, YAY...

then for grits and shins, i did a hard reset, it returned, i then had 2 Instant Messaging Folders, one hidden, and the other that appears after a reset...

am I the only one that is having this problem?

Yes, then when I reset, another one pops up... Lol

Oh well, I'll just keep deleting it until I can search through the alx files for an answer.
