Alright well first i wanna introduce myself since I'm new. My name is Alex and I'm from new york. anyways i just got a tour today ( i used to have a curve 8330) I've been trying to download new themes for my tour for like the past hour and i haven't been able to do so. It gives me a error mssg saying "The item you selected cannot be displayed". Do you wish to save the item?" can somebody tell me what that means!? i keep getting it everytime i tried to download a new theme from different sites out of my blackberry browser. Please anyone help! thnx

Can you open to view it? I get these occasionally and it usually says .zip which can only be downloaded from a desktop computer. Look for themes that download OTA.

.jad files are for OTA downloading direct to your advice. Anything that's .zip is an archive and needs to be downloaded to a pc for un-stuffing/extraction. After using Stuffit Expander or some other utility like that to extract all the files, use Desktop Manager to load it onto your BB.

I also have a new tour and am unable to download new themes as well as recieve the same error mssg. I've tried several different sites thinking it may have been bad links. All my downloads have been with OTA's. The themes that have downloaded and "installed", don't show in the "Themes" folder. I've located several downloads in.. options > advance options > applications, but they don't do anything.

Many themes are device specific and OS specific, so make sure the theme you re trying to use is for your device and the OS you are running.
