I have someones phone where the icons are completely gone on the phone....i use the quick menu shortcut and the apps that were running prior to the problem are still there and working....anyone know a fix for this...i would do a hard reset to the phone but i cannot access the options

Do you have the ability to navigate the folders that are present in the application list? Look in each one and see if the missing icons are there. I am presuming that you have attempted a battery pull already.

there are not even folders....I mean like everything on the home screen is completely gone....only apps that can be access is what is on the quick menu....yeah i did a battery pull already

Did you press the Menu button and click 'Show All'?

Is dial from home screen on, push the "o" key.

What model phone is it?

You must have "Dial from Home Screen" set to "No" (go to Phone dialer screen > Options > General Options.)

Also note that you only need to tap the key to get these applications - if you hold down the keys then the appropriate Speed Dial number is still dialed.

Once the above is set to NO, now, from the homescreen, tap the O key... (not zero, but the O for Options.)

sorry so late guys i am at work and cust had to go back to work...the phone model was an 8320....and thanks zero i will have to try that when she comes back tomm...but more ideas are welcome for when she comes back
