CNBC just reported that the Bold will launch on Nov 4th.

They got it from AT&T directly...

Just release it already so we don't need to see 10,000 posts per day on ALL BB forums with the same topics!

Election Day in the US? Doesn't make sense - and it is a Tuesday as well.

Nov 4th is the date confirmed by Mr. Ralph de la Vega so that's what it is. Why they would release a phone on election day is truly beyond me. It's fine by me though because it's 5 days before my 30 days is up to exchange my iPhone so I will be exchanging my iPhone for the BOLD and paying the difference IF there is one.

That price point is dead on and the only thing I will have to pay is the restocking fee for my iPhone. Good stuff AT&T.

Price is about what I figured .. $199 would be nicer but 299 is still cheaper then any previous launched Blackberry

yipee.... (said in my Ben Stein voice).

Release on election will certainly keep the rush down, better late than never I suppose. Also, the fact that they are releasing with 4.6.0.167 is good.

The finally committed, it's about time. They were risking a lot in waiting longer. They'll beat the Storm by a week or 2 it looks like now. I think they waited so many iPhone users were beyond their 30 day return period (who would jump to Verizon/Storm because it's a better phone/network) myself, but I'm not a trusting soul by nature.

It's because they boosted up insurance prices... they didn't want any getting "stolen" and replaced for 50 bucks!

Wirelessly posted

It says $299 with two-year contract...

I wonder if that is the price before or after a rebate?

I wonder if Best Buy will be allowed to sell early, for promotion reasons as well as monetary reasons?

Bestbuy will NOT be allowed to sell the Bold before ATT does. Just because its in their system for the 26th does not mean they will start selling the 26th.

Default The Cruelest Days

The cruelest days start now, when most of us have to sit and stew and wait until 11/4/8, a situation made worse although somehow more bearable, by coming to this board and reading how so-and-so has the Blackberry in their paws and loves it. This is qualitatively different than when someone has an early testing prototype, because now its real and the waiting and the wanting is more keenly felt.
