I have to be honest, when I was handed an evaluation Unit last Friday to play with, I was not very impressed. The unit felt to heavy and bulky in my hand and pocket.

However, after an entire weekend of playing around with it, I am now a convert and love it.

Although I am still not keen on the side entry for my memory card everything else for me is perfect, including video playback quality. The unit came with 2x Trailers (Golden Compass and American Gangster) on the device and the quality is superb. I even moved a few episodes of 'Skins' (UK Drama) across to my Memory card and these were perfectly sync'd as well as crystal clear.

I will find some time to write a bit more detail tonight...

Much would depend on your device you are using now to have the 9000 feel "heavy and bulky".

I for one do not want a tiny device like the Pearl. Need to handle alot of email in the field and want a decent keyboard. I use a 8820 now and have seen images of the 9000 with the 8820 and unless it weighs 12 kilos, will be very happy with the 9000.

At this stage I have heard so much about the 9000, including one who said it weighed much less than he expected.

Tired of all of this and just want the hold my own 9000!

Hi Greg,

Yes I should have mentioned I only use 2x Pearls. One being my personal phone, the other on my works BES server. So yes compared to my Pearl, it is indeed bulky.

When I was offered a Curve Originally I turned the offer down on fear of it being to 'Bulky'. However, I think when I have to return this evaluation unit, I will be a complete convert and get me one when its due to be released... which we have been told is August (UK's Indirect Market)??

Yep compared to the Pearl, many phones will feel like a brick.

The features of the Bold will over rule all of that, as you have found out!

Enjoy and keep us posted.
