Default DM Issue on Curve

Please Login to Remove!

I am trying to sync my new curve using DM 4.5. I keep getting a message that I need an internet connection. It has a working connection but does not seem to recognize it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Try re-installing DM.

What PC OS and what version of Outlook are you using?

Outlook 2003 and 2007 running XP or Vista seems to work best with DM 4.5 or 4.6 (Haven't tried 4.7 yet).

Earlier versions of Outlook need DM 4.2 or 4.3 (4.2 SP2/SP3 seems to work best) as does Windows 2000 OS machines.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

I have been running 4.2 DM on a Vista and Outlook 2007 setup and a 4.5 0S with no issues. If it were me, I would try to reinstall the DM as was suggested above.

I had DM 4.5 b16

Installed DM4.5 b17 and am still having issues. This time Zone Alarm asked for permission to give DM access and still got the message.

I don't know what to do next.

T-Mobile said that 4.6 is what I need so I am trying that.

Thanks again

Turn off Zone Alarm and your antivirus until it is installed and you sync the first time.

I'll give it a try. I've got 4.6 on there with the firewall off after I installed it.

Help! Nothing is working here. This is exactly what I am getting

"The computer must be connected to the internet in order to initially configure synchronization settings. Please ensure that you connected to the internet and try again."

Where do I go from here?

Thanks

I FINALLY found a fix out there. Uninstall 4.6 and install 4.2 sp2. It apparently does not look for an internet connection thereby allowing sync. This seems to have been going on since MAY 2008. What the F is RIM doing? This is a giant pain in the A__!!!

Good luck to all
