Default Pearl to Curve?

Please Login to Remove!

Wondering if I should switch. Has anyone done it? Was it worth it?

I went from the Pearl to the Curve...worth it to me, sometimes I've thought about going back to the Pearl just for the size....I like the full keyboard when texting.

I have both, and find myself favoring the Curve. Sometimes SureType isn't so sure, but I do enjoy the size of the Pearl better. After a while of "pocketing" the Curve, I;ve gotten pretty used to it though.

I would like the qwerty keyboard.

I do like the smaller phone.

I guess it's one or the other.

So if I kept my Pearl all I would have to do is switch out my SIM card to the one I want to use that day? Right?

I believe that is basically correct. You would also need to login to your BIS account and switch the PIN/ESN there to get your email on the correct device.

Yeah. That sounds familiar. A bit of a pain. Did it when I felt like using my 7730 one day.

You should be able to just register to the network and it will do it for you won't it?

you BIS email setting wont transfer over if you don't go in and change it. If you log in from the device it will immediately prompt you to change to your current PIN.

It took me a week to be good with Suretype, I enjoy the size of the pearl for long conversations and when I go out. I have a computer at work so the Pearl is to receive emails when I'm out of the office.

Ditto.. My GF recently picked up the new version of the Pearl on the VW network. It looks very sexy .. and when I have it in my hand I get very jealous of the size.

Then I whip out my Curve with the new OS on it that does it all on top of whatever the Pearl does .. and the Full Keyboard just out does it 10-1.

Full Keyboard is the way to go for me at least. I like the wide-screen and such. I dunno could be just me.

But yes .. i love the curve .. talked my brother into getting one

I loved my Pearl. The size is perfect, I had no problem with SureType. But that Crimson Curve was so alluring. (And the color matches my car. LOL) So I bought the Curve, figuring I would switch back and forth for the convenience of the Pearl's size.

Within a couple days of getting the Curve, I was hooked. I really liked it. Once I upgraded OS to 4.5, I absolutely adore it. I will probably never go back to the Pearl and made a deal to give it to my brother as soon as I update the OS on it. The Curve doesn't seem that much larger and, although it took a few days to get used to qwerty after using Suretype, I'm now fairly proficient with qwerty as well. (Hey, it was harder to get used to qwerty for me than suretype. Not sure why.)

Anyway, bottom line, I am now completely sold on the Curve and no way I would go back to the Pearl.

The giant screen on the Curve is what made me switch from the Pearl

I made the swtich from the pearl to curve.....no regrets! The screen is larger and I find I type faster and more efficient with the full keyboard. Also I'm able to put more software with the curves bigger memory. Also the pearl is a small/compact phone, good in some ways, but it just didn't look right with a big guy like me. When I was on the phone it just looked like my hand was covering my ear...LoL. The curve is bigger and badder and makes a man out of you....=).
