I'm going with 6pm EDT as well as the new release time because they are based out of Toronto. Even though my countdown clock would indicate 6pm PDT because it is keyed off of the local machine time not their server time. Of course this is all dependent on them not changing the countdown clock for a third or fourth time. We will see I guess.

I was wondering if Viigo was going to put out branded software myself. There are so many different flavors out there.

Yes, and I can think of five other versions.

The last e-mail I received from Viigo concerned my use of the WES Edition and not the private Beta I signed up for in early April. It said I would automatically be signed up for the public Beta. I haven't heard anything else myself; and apparently, if there are those that have, they aren't talking.

Oh, people would talk if it was out.
Which is why I am thinking no news is good news. It's still driving me nuts, though.

Software gets delayed. It's pretty much standard for this to happen.

The problem here, in my opinion, is a lack of communication. Specifically, there are many that signed up for the beta, got an e-mail that said we needed to sign NDA's, and then have heard absolutely nothing.

Viigo folks: when you ask someone to sign an NDA, you need to communicate with them. At the very least, send an e-mail saying "the beta has been delayed" or "you haven't been selected."

The current clock reflects 6:00pm Eastern Time. That's 6 hours from now.

Hmmm... a bug on their website then... IThey are probably using local PC time (re-countdown)...

As there is no time currently being displayed here locally for me 6pm CET.

Someone that's better at this than me might want to take a closer look, but...

I looked at the page source (what else am I going to do while waiting?) and it appears that the math is based on "06/17/2008 6:00 PM." There is nothing, that I can find, that adjusts for time zone.

Since the Viigo team is in Toronto, that means that they are UTC -5 (right?). Which is the same time zone I'm in (US Eastern Time).

So, I'll go with 6:00pm, UTC -5 time zone.

The clock has stopped at Tango, so I guess all there is to do is wait (like I haven't been already).
