Mugging someone for their phone is so stupid. I guess that robbers haven't heard about the "Find my iPhone" feature.

The thing about stolen property is you can always find a sucker to buy it, even if it's unusable. Years ago I worked at a company that sold car stereos, some units allowed the owner to set a passcode to be able to turn the radio on. People would still steal one from someone, sell it, and then different people would bring the same radio in every single month asking us if we would unlock it. When we wouldn't since we knew it was stolen, they'd sell it to a new sucker who would bring it in the next week when he discovered he couldn't turn it on. This would continue for years.

Agree though, there are probably less risky things to steal.
