Has anyone with a Sprint Tour upgraded their OS to 5.0 using the MTS Mobility version?

https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...873A2FB1BE61.n...

Any problems?

Thanks!

Apologies for the 'double-post' - was not my intention.

I've been running this version for a week or so... I have had no issues, I do seem to have better battery life and I definitely have more memory. I am not running about 25 to 26 MB free memory where as before I was around 19 to 20 MB. (this actualy device memory not my SD card memory)

My issue with random reboots under the previous beta has been resolved.

Agreed, 419 is the best build I've played with. 230 gave me nothing but JVM errors, 313 (i think) was just unstable and overall bad. but I have had absolutly no problems with 419 as of yet. Battery life is great and gotta love threaded SMS!

I made the jump about a week ago and love it. Battery life is hard to gauge, but either way it's darn close to what I got with 4.7. I had thought it was worse, but it turns out I had left bluetooth on all the time. So a big "duh!" to me for not noticing.

None so far for me, though i did lose all my apps and have to reload them. i'm guesssing a back up of your apps or your entire phone should be the first thing you do. I'm new to Blackberry and Sprint, the Tour needs work but the 5.0 helps. The threaded texting was sorely needed. will go with the offical sprint 5.0 whenever they release it, nice to have this one for now.

I updated mine last night, using the instructions posted here. Installation hung up just before it was to re-install the apps, but no big deal. I cancelled it as the phone shows 5.0 as the OS, and just reinstalled my "stuff" manually. No issues so far.

I read your other thread on this. I hope the other carrier builds address this

Default GPS functionality?

How are you guys experiencing the Sprint Navigation with this new build? Does Google Maps recognize the GPS also?

Been running 5.0 for about a week. No problems at all with install, very smooth. Battery life seems about the same, memory leak a little less. Beyond160 is not compatable, very disapointed (but developer is working on a fix) everything else ok. Had to reenter third party activation/registration codes. Reinstalled SprintNav-it sucks, so I deleted it. Google Maps works fine, much better than SprintNav. Happy so far, no real issues and unit seems to run faster

Wirelessly posted (AT&T 8100 Pearl)

My Sprint Navigation 2.1.01 doesn't run at all. Google Maps and BBMaps both work with GPS.

I installed a leaked 5.0.0.419 about 2 weeks before the it became official.

There's an upgraded version of SprintNav for OS 5.0. When you click on the old ver it prompts you to download the new one.
