Default Apploader quit during OS update?!?

Please Login to Remove!

I started the OS update for .732 about 20 minutes ago using loader.exe and it started normally but now the GUI has disappeared. Task Manager shows apploader still running. It was backing up 3rd party apps and I looked away from the pc for a couple of minutes and when I looked back it was no longer visibile.

Device is showing white screen wiith device and pc icons, but no movement.

I don't know if I should just wait or kill apploader with Task Mgr, but then what? I'm trying to stay calm...

Anyone seen this happen before?

I would just kill it and start over, It would be like wiping with Jlcmdr

If it doesn't work you might also want to try that. or BBSAK

Ok, will do that. Even though it looks like its running, it's not doing anything, not using any cpu.

It loaded the new OS but everything else is gone. Fortunately I did a backup just before starting to upgrade. Will restore from the backup now.

Back in business, just like that. Thank goodness for backups!! But I'm going to have to reinstall my 3rd party apps. That will keep me busy for a while.

My computer has been acting flakey and I suspect that was my problem.

Wirelessly posted (AT&T 8100 Pearl)

I sucessfully updated to 5.0.0.732 on my Sprint Tour.
Some problems were related to hangs during back-up data. I removed myself from my BBM Group and later had to delete MMS messages when it was hanging there too. It's all good!

Yes, backup of BBM Groups appears to be an issue, in general.
