Havent had any issues lately. I had one day since I have had this device that I had problems with my HRT. But after a couple of hours of that mess, it was back to normal.

boygenius,
You're not loosing it. Yesterday evening I noticed around 6:45 that I hadn't received any emails since 5:04 (absolutely impossible!) and noticed that I was on edge instead of EDGE. I turned off the wireless and turned it back on, got back onto EDGE and a dozen emails came in. I've never seen this happen before though, and service seems to be always improving. (I'm a former AT&T client, and gave up trying to use an AT&T BB under Cingular - it really bit the big one!)

I'm in NYC too.

BTW, I've also found that the factory setting under SMS for "Network To Send Over" is GSM, but that doesn't seem to work all the time, and have found setting it to GPRS Preferred works much better.

I have the 8700c and have had issues the past few days going from EDGE to edge... I just called Cingular and talked to data and they deleted the profile and unregisteredt the device, I then put the batt back in and it all registered back on the network and a new profile was created. Now I am oon EDGE and still working good. Try calling them and have them delete your profile so it can recreate.

Default Hasn't worked here since last Thursday

Only GSM here in Blue Bell, PA (Suburban Philadelphia). After telling me that my antenna was defective and sending me a new device, I called to let them know I still couldn't get EDGE. They opened a "case" and said it would be resolved by Thursday.

There is obviously a sporadic network issue that is affecting some BB's and not others. I noticed my first 2 hour delay as well, last night. I think that Cingular has caught on to this and I am sure they have already made this a priority one issue. I would suggest being patient and waiting for it to be resolved. I mean in actuality, what else are you going to do?

fyi: my area is Cleveland/Akron Ohio.

Since they deleted the profile I have not had a problem yet going back to edge... It goes right to EDGE faster then it ever did before even if I yank the battery!

Done. Take that Cingular!! In your FACE!

(Kidding of course! I would never do that to my BB, ever! I don't even think Cingular has this BB.)
