Default Messages Folder

Please Login to Remove!

I just upgraded my 8100 to the new .107 software and now my company email, my personal email and any text message I get all go into the "Messages" folder. The problem is the other day while in that folder looking at a text message I deleted a important email by mistake thinking I was clearing old text messages.
On my previous software version my "Messages" folder was only text messages my email didn't show up in there.
Anyway to make messages just txt messages?

Go to Messages >Options >Generall Options and scroll to the bottom. You can separate your sms from the Messages folder there.

It seems like I tried that already and it didn't work as described. I thought for some reason this was a feature of the "Theme" you selected to on the previous software but I am unsure on the new .107. I thought you had to use the "Zen Theme" or something?

I went ahead and selected Seperated and we will see what happens.

Thx

Road, yes it was/is a feature of the Zen theme when you were using an older OS. Now, the update includes the option to have the separate folders regardless of theme.

ALL messages and mail and text will appear in the regular messages folder, no way around that, it has not changed. But you can separate out the SMS/txt messages.

That seems to be the case, when I selected "SEPERATE" my emails just stoping showing up at all in the email folder and only appeared in the "MESSAGES" folder.

That just seems redundant to me and short sighted on Blackberrys side. Now you have to delete the email form both folders instead of just one?

Love my phone it's a excellant tool that just seems like a oversight, maybe the next version software will be better.

Thanks guys!
