Default SMSLink is now available (connect your BB to your comp to send txts)

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys,

I'm just letting all you fine BlackBerryForum.com readers know that we have released a new product. SMSLink. This program will connect your BlackBerry to your computer (mac or pc!) with BlueTooth. Each text message that comes in will pop-up on your computers screen and you can reply directly from there! Easy peasy! No more fiddling around with a tiny keyboard (especially you Pearl users) when you have a full sized keyboard right infront of you.

For more information go to R10Software.com − Introducing SMSLink

For a limited time you can buy it for $8.95 USD.

Let me know what you think guys!

WOW. This is when I wish I had a job to pay for apps =(. Well done! Is there an option to save text messages that pass through it as well as text messages already on the device? Let me know if you ever need some free beta testers =$.

Wirelessly posted (BOLD)

Finally. This is really neat. Will this work with other phones too? Like my g/f's Shine and moms sidekick?

It would make a neat addition.

Also, is there a trial or something too?

My god. This is very similar with my new software - Quicker SMS - which use USB connection.
This is a small world.
You can see my Quicker SMS in my first topic or click the link in my signature.

Right now it's BlackBerry only, although we are working on a "generic" version. The problem with generic phones is that they all implement bluetooth a little bit differently so it becomes a pain in the butt to develop for, so it's going to take a little time.

We are looking for suggestions for the next version and would greatly welcome any new beta testers that would be interested. Just make sure you send me a PM with your contact info so I don't forget about you

Oh I forgot to ask, does this only work with Windows bluetooth stack or will any BT client will work? I can't get my BT to work with Windows default BT stack, despite following that other guide on here =(. I'm so close to pulling the trigger.

Unfortunately for now it will only work with Microsoft (winsock), WIDCOMM or BlueSoleil Bluetooth.

bought it and it's not working..
first it doesn't play well with peekawho or txtforward. I get a popScreen:UiEngine is null !=net.rim.device.api.ui.uiEnginelmpl@bb58c1ba

when I uninstalled the two apps, I am to connect with my mac , but I can only receive messages. Doesn't wor when I send/reply to a text.

Have any ideas how to fix?

The error mentioned above has now been resolved. Seems that some devices implement extra security measures that were not being handled in previous versions.

I finally caved and purchased your software. Working nicely so far. You asked for comments/suggestions. Here are a few.

Adding or syncing the contact list with the program so you can simply type the name instead of having to know the number would be nice. It would be AWESOME if you had predictive search for it too. (Though in the screenshots it seems the names show up?)

If you could make it so that hitting enter would send the messages instead of having to hit tab-enter, that would make my lazy life so much nicer =).

Minimizing to the corner would be nice, so it doesn't take up space on my task bar. A global key to make it appear/disappear would be nice too.

Sending to multiple recipients would be really nice.

Saving a history, and making it show up in the sent messages on the actual bb would be nice too.

I think the OTA link wasn't working when I installed it (a few hours back). Might want to check up on that. Was receiving an HTTP 4XX error.

I'll let you know if I think of anything else =).

Edit: And, being able to type more than the one message would be nice =).
