Default Internet Browser on the 8830

Please Login to Remove!

Hey, New to the Forums

Im about to get the BB 8830 on Sprint but i need a couple of questions answered before i buy. Im only using the BB to access the interent and e-mail

Whats the Internet Browser look like, Is it have the actual interent like on the iphone or does it has limited internet features?

Hi, Welcome to the Forums.

It "is" the actual internet. Many webpages, you will find, are best viewed from a mobile version of the website if available. But otherwise, you can view the actual webpages. Because of the size of the screen, it very often does not render the same as a full size screen, and there is likely the difference you will find with this and the iPhone.

Okay, thanks... now that i know it views actual webpages and not the downsized view, i will buy the bb 8830 for sprint

I might also sugesst trying the Opera Mini browser too.. I find it a little easier to read some webpages.. you can find out more infor about it in the Aftermarket Software sub-forum.

Yes it is the internet. The downside with the bb broswer is that it may not handle websites that are heavy with java.
