Default 8100 cases

I saw some threads about cases, but am still undecided... The Sena Case is appealing because it covers the whole device including the screen, while still allowing full use -- but it's the most expensive ($49.99). Alternatively, I was thinking about getting a BestSkinsEver skin and keeping it in the Blackberry leather pouch. Any more opinions on the case debate? Thanks

There are lots of opinions on them, and it looks as if you are headed in the right direction with looking at some threads, but I would suggest digging even deeper and searching for more threads. You may also want to look at the Hardware and Accessories forum and see the reviews that have been done there. I am personally a fan of the Seidio cases, and the OEM lambskin case.

A lot of the people here are in love with the Seidio cases and there must be a reason why. I don't own one but I still want one already, maybe you should look into getting one.

I just got my 8100 last week and I quickly ordered a Sena Case because I've had great luck with these cases on past PDA's. Ordered Friday, got the case in the mail on Sat. (Their local So. CA). The case has a flip cover and a magnet to activate the slumber mode. Now for the bad news, their case covers the light sensor near the ear speaker. As a result, the screen goes dim and it's nearly unreadable when outside. I emailed them today regarding this problem and I'll let you now what I hear. If only they had put a small cut-out near the sensor!

I have a BSE total body skin on my Pearl along with a Sedio case (rubberized or silicone). The combo works perfectly. The two things cover everything that need to be covered.

Just got a Krussel case for mine delivered today. £13.90 inc postage

Seems well made and good VFM, and has access to the trackerball and other buttons/connections too.

You can get BSE total body skin for $6.99 + $2.00 delivered and i think that the one thats just for the screen is $4.99 plus the shipping. There is a deal on shipping if you order more than one. Just check out their website.

I just got the RIM sleeve case and it's quite nice. I was worried about it muffling the ringer, but there is a little cutout for the speaker on the back of the case. I really like it so far. I don't like case that cover up the coolness of the phone, so this one works for me so far. I highly recommend it.

Correction - the most expensive is the Piel Frama case. And it's sweet

BoxWave-

No offense but your company has THE worst customer service ever. I ordered
an item from you guys and received the wrong item for my phone. Contacted your company for an exchange but was told "No, too bad but if you would like to order another one, we will be happy to give you 5% off"...

well if you ordered by credit card/debit card call your bank/credit card company and tell them the item you ordered was not what you received. they will chargeback the item to your card and itll be deducted from that companys account. they have to remain under 1-2% chargebacks vs total sales to continue to process and accept CC's.you've got up to 6 months in most cases to report a CB. enjoy =)

I bought a Krussell case for my Pearl.

It should arrive tomorrow, so I am not sure what it is like.

I have used these cases with other phones and like the snug fit. They cover the screen and keyboard but leave a small hole for the "Pearl".

I bought mine from Ebay for £6.95

Take a look.

Thanks
Mike

I have the Krusell case as well. I love it because the entire phone is protected, the only thing exposed is the trackball and you can still use all the connections. I am using the extended battery and I can still use the case just fine, even though its a snug fit..but it looks and its well protected..I love it..

i would suggest the monaco case. It's aluminum and has a screen protector and still gives you full use of all buttons. it has a neoprene lining on the inside that keeps the phone from being damaged when and if you drop it. it comes in different colors too. check it out at wirelessground.com

I just installed the BSE screen protector last night - it went pretty well. I like the feel of it - less slippery. Hopefully in the next day or two I should receive my Seido rubberized case.
