Default Physically removing SIM card 7100g

Please Login to Remove!

There seems to be a metal band over the sim card in the 7100g,

How do I remove that band to remove the sim card?

You don't remove that band.
The sim card slides out (to the left), but you must slightly push in the small black plastic tab that is located to the left of the sim card.

THX. I did figure it out.

I stuck my 7100t sim card into a co-workers 7100g and got a "Invalid SIM CARD" message.

I thought the 7100g was unlocked by Cingular?
Are there additional steps required?

I am thinking of switching to the G from my T because I like the keyboard spacing better. I'd still like TMO's coverage though.

No, the Cingular 7100g is not unlocked. Currently, the only way to unlock it is to send it to Bongo wireless along with a $100, and they'll unlock it for you.
Cingular is not giving out unlock codes, or instructions.
