Default PocketDay Storm Beta Version

Please Login to Remove!

All,

The beta version of PocketDay for the Storm is now available. OTA install:

http://www.pocketday.com/files/v54_storm/pdp54os47.jad

This version takes full advantage of the touchscreen and knows about portrait and landscape modes so it can be used vertically or horizontally.

Tips:

Expand/Collapse sections, Touch the Section heading (no click)
Context sensitive menu for a section, Click on the Section Heading
Expand a section to full screen: Touch and hold for 1/2 second (no click)

Feedback always welcome.

We updated the beta yesterday. Sorry, we forgot to post here.

Same link. We fixed a few things and added a right to left finger swipe which bring up your pocketday speedkeys.

next will be a right to left swipe for your favorite apps.

Thanks, now what are SpeedKeys? Am I being thick or what, I have Key mappings assigned but when I do the swipe nothing appears?

SpeedKeys replaced Speed Dial in the last version. Speed Keys not only allow you to map a contact's phone, but also enable you to map a key to send an email or SMS to a contact with a single key press.

In that case shouldn't Key Mappings be removed from the PocketDay Settings options?

Key Mappings allows applications to be mapped to keys. Speed Keys execute specific tasks like call someone, email someone or text someone. These are targeted activities. When you map a speed key to email someone and click it their email address is pre-filled in and you just have to type the email.

I've been trying for 2 days to download that beta but it keeps asking for a password. Can anyone share it?

Also, does anyone know if it syncs with Outlook? I'm running Outlook 2003 on my desktop and want to keep doing that.

TIA - R.

No password should be needed. You need a registration code after the trial, but nothing to download to my knowledge.
