recently i bought the 9800 , and i wonder if i cant turn off the sensor that rotates my monitor??

If you slide the screen up it locks in portrait.

Another good app is SixTools, available on AppWorld. It locks the screen automatically when its on the home screen, but unlocks it when its in apps. It seems to me that you WANT it to rotate when you're looking at many webpages, pictures, etc. So I don't want rotation always locked, but love it locked only on the home screen, which SixTools accomplishes nicely - along with several other useful things.
