Yes, my blackberry is unlocked, and I am with Cingular - I inserted two Cingular Sim Cards. Could you share a picture or two of your setup and your screen menu?

This guy from China (gezeng)

eBay Member Profile for gezeng

He sells the Dual Sim Card for 0.99 and charges you rediculously high postage for $7.80 while the shipping only cost you $1.6. When you have a defective product, they don't send you replacement right away, they simply ask you to return it before anything is done.

I will never look into them anymore.

Here is what happened to my purchases.

I followed the links and purchased from two suppliers, it costed me total of $20 including shipping.

The first one sells the Ghost Sim Card, from the very first post of this thread. I was able to purchase it from their ebay store (red_ferrari_f355) here :

eBay: Blackberry 8700c, R957, R957M Ghost Dual SIM (item 110018998809 end time Aug-18-06 11:57:00 PDT)

I bought it on Aug 12, and I haven't received any message saying it's shipped, and no product arrived. So I sent the seller a message today.

My second purchase is the Dual Sim Card King, here is the link I purchased from gezeng:

eBay: Dual sim card-no Cutting-no power off-number displayed (item 330017232389 end time Aug-18-06 19:39:45 PDT)

I received it today from China, fast shipping. I managed to make it fit into BB8700, but it does not work. Looks like there is no connection at all because BB says "Insert the Sim Card" no matter what I do. I am pretty sure I installed it right because I called this seller in China using skype and spoke with him in Chinese, and he just told me to re-try and press it hard, etc. When I called again, he switched offline. So no further response. I sent a request for refund. This looks promising, but I am very doubtful it's going to work, because by design, you need to fold that piece of product, and I think the folding will sooner or later break the wire inside, if not immediately.

So here is my experience. Think before you order.

Unless someone on this board took the picture of their BB and showed to you it actually worked on their BB - the setup, and menu on screen, do NOT buy it. Save your time and money.

I received mine just now, and have the same problem.. Insert SIM card. regardless of which sleeve you use.. the SIM card works fine without the dual carrier of course..

anyone know if this realy works we are in Cyprus and use our blackberrys on Vodaphone Uk unlimited data Roaming plan just for Email and sms it would be so handy to throw a local sim in there so we can use it for voice we are using 8707V Voda BB's on bes 4.1 we are also planning on importing these into cyprus as the local phone networks have no agreements with Rim and dont support Email forwarding to windows mobile either ) could be a nice earner )

Also On another note is the 8700c the same fittment for the sim as the 8707v ?

Thanks

Chris

Yes, the "fittment" for the sims is exactly the same on the both the 8700c and the 8707v.

Why not just forward calls from one SIM to the other SIM the only time you need to access the other SIM is when you need to make calls?

Has anyone looked into a SIM Cloner? If so can you log into each cellular provider seperately, or how does it work?

Wow- it actually works.

This was what I bought:
eBay: 2 In 1 GSM Dual Twin SIM Card Adapter for Mobile Phone (item 230066783158 end time Dec-17-06 06:41:47 PST) (about $6 AS)
I actually got a slightly different package than what was described, but I'm pretty sure the item was the same. Mine says "Hyper Card" and "NEW King of double card" on a blue background.

As it claims, I can now "avoid change crust" with my "wisdom SIM card" without "cutcard"

Even if it didn't work I think I got my money's worth laughing at the translation.

I have 8700 with T-mobile BB service (and a Vodafone Greece prepaid sim). I don't know if this means I have a 32k or 64k sim.

Like DMX posted, it does not look at all like the cover can fit over the battery and the dual sim. It looks awkward and impossible- but somehow, when you gently press the cover on, it all works out. I don't know how long it will last though. The thing even has a full resolution icon that automatically shows up in your menu. Still, you have to be careful with installing the unit and I don't recommend this to people without some light technical skills. If you've never been the type to program a VCR I wouldn't recommend it.

I'll try to post pictures soon when my digital camera arrives in the mail...

Default Avoid change crust?!?

What the H E double hockey sticks could that mean??

Sounds kinda iffy.

Anyway let us know how that gizmo holds up over time. I suppose if one is not constantly tinkering with it it could last a while before breaking.

No, you'll only get them on your blackberry plan enabled sim. When you are on the other sim, it will say something like, "data connection refused"
