Default Dedicated Yahoo IM Client??

Please Login to Remove!

I've Googled it a few times and see press announcements saying Yahoo will eventually be available for Blackberrys. Those announcements are quite dated, and I can't find anything. I have no use for any other client other than Yahoo, as 97% of my contacts are there.

Does anyone know of an ETA on this product?

Thanks!

Edit: I realize that Verichat, IM+, etc. exist. I was just hoping this product would become available before I had to purchase those.

CodyMac,

Why not just use IM+ for your BB? IM+ has MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Jabber & AIM. I use 3 of the 5 myself and it works pretty good for being a mobile application. You can get this application at http://www.handango.com and can get more information about the application at http://www.shapeservices.com . I hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply.

The reason I don't just get one of the other ballyhooed solutions is that I have 100 contacts on Yahoo, and maybe one on AIM that I talk to once every three months. So, naturally, I would be interested in a free offering from Yahoo in lieu of paying a yearly fee for something else.

Just to let you know, the Office Communicator enterprise IM client that was published in a press conference back in April has barely even seen the light of day in the development world. It was supposed to be available for testing by the developer and partners this next month. There is not even a codename for the product from the MS side, yet.

If the same follows for the Yahoo camp, then I'd say these are simply inked deals and won't present any real substance until later in the year, at best.
