Everyones post is about MMS...everyone that has the new OS still wants MMS when the OS didn't have anything to do with MMS...when u upgrade...read the information that shows what will be upgrading...I read nothing about MMS...
For those of u that had Nextel phones, u should kno that text messaging for Nextels Suck...so why would it be different with a Nextel BlackBerry??? iDEN sucks with text messaging...I like text messaging...and i hate why my 7520 doesnt support it...jus got to live with it...i jus use the cell number with the email address...
solution = suck it up, use teleflip like kontiki or buy a sidekick...

I just called and spoke to Blackberry Customer service and he told me they are still working on the two way messaging and that a update to the 4.1 software will be released when they fix the bugs but he assured me that two way messaging is on the way for the 7520.

He couldn't give me a specific date he said call back on Monday and they may have more info.

That's what I meant was that we would be able to receive text messages and reply hence "two way"

well i did the test thing on sprint.com i was able to text message myself with it... it didnt' say anything about it not being available for my #. not gonna stress it anymore.. i'll stress Y my bluetooth isn't workign instead

I think the main point Nsupporter is trying to say is and correct me if I'm wrong but to use the service you need to call and get it activated through Nextel. I don't really have a need for the text message thing unless it was free to try out. Some people do have a lot af friends that don't have email and only chat through text message (mainly kids from what I have observed), so I could see this being a good thing for them.

I have a great example of why we want/need text messaging. I was in a bar on New Years eve, very crowded, takes forever to get a beer or whatever and to walk through the crowd. I went to get some more alcohol from the bartender and I got a txt from my friend, "get me more beer"...So I text back what kind?.. Sure couldn't have heard him on the phone..its a great option/tool when you need it.

yeah i would also like an update on this. If possible can someone give me the number for Blackberry Customer Relations so i can call them myself. Can't find the number on their website
