Default Idea for new Program

Please Login to Remove!

I drive kids to school (not in a bus) on a daily basis and was maybe hoping somebody would make a program that would show school closings in bad weather it would really help out in what I do

Wirelessly posted (7250/4.0.0.204: BlackBerry7250/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

The first step is to find a Website that typically lists weather cancelations for your area (i.e. www.cancelations.com) and then see how well it loads in your BlackBerry browser. To streamline the Web content you could try parsing it through an optimizer like skweezer.com.

I'd say leave the little crumb snatchers out in the snow.

Your local news station might have alerts/emails that can be sent for cancelations. I know at least they have that here with NBC, you might want to check that out.

This is something that RSS is ideally suited for. If your local news station doesn't have an RSS feed for this, you should pitch it to them.
