BlackBerry Outage Sparks User Revolt -- InformationWeek

Interesting right?

Blackberry CEO Jim Balsille has taken heat lately from some customers and investors, who charge that in the past year he spent too much time trying to purchase the National Hockey League's Phoenix Coyotes, instead of focusing on RIM's products and services.

Coulda sworn a few weeks ago I posted something along these lines...

Oh wait! Now Google is about to release their own handheld... oops... watch out BlackBerry !

He Has Risen!

Thanks for the update. Do you still use a BlackBerry or have you switched yet?

No, not really interesting.

Read this with a monotone, halting, unchanging voice "Oh no, the sky is falling".

Does RIM have some work to do with their network, yep, sure sounds like it. Has my company approached me about finding an alternative. Nope.

I counteract that with a Google, Google, Google, Google.

(P.S. They really aren't just trying to collect every piece of information about you. That's just a myth).

"Dude" DON'T READ OR PARTICIPATE IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT. This is a Rants and Raves Forum right?

You guys are funny. Cute, really. Google is about to put your dear telecomm companies out of bidness (just like it is doing to Garmin and TomTom). And as soon as that happens, bye bye BlackBerry...

Unless BlackBerry adopts Android somehow, actually I don't think Google would go for that so forget it

NJBlackBerry: Still have my clunky Tour, but watching the Nexus closely...

Right. I'm a troll.

Yet all you have to say is "Google is evil! All hail the RIM Gods!" Logical, cogent arguments? Nah... who needs 'em right?

Promise me you'll send me a PM in couple years acknowledging how presciently right I was?

You either can't or won't give up our clunky Tour because there is still nothing out there that does what the BlackBerry can do.

Rant all you want - you are still a paying customer.

Touche. You are right. But there are things out there getting very, very close...

And they are improving with every passing day -- BlackBerry's are not.

Nexus anyone?

Troll.

He will spark of such an argument via the use of ad hominem attacks (i.e. 'you're nothing but a fanboy' is a popular phrase) with no substance or relevence to back them up as well as straw man arguments, which he uses to simply avoid addressing the essence of the issue.

I take offense to that --> I've never used the word "fanboy" in my life.
