Default Duplicate calendar entries - taking up too much space?

Please Login to Remove!

For a while now my Blackberry 8120 (Tmobile) has had every calendar entry twice. Probably happened when I got this phone a few months ago and updated the to the most recent 4.3. I didn't really care at first but lately I have been losing a lot of messages, texts, and call logs lately and I wonder if this is contributing. I have taken all other steps to optimize space on here.

I am on a BES and using Lotus Notes and the calendar syncs wirelessly. The duplicates are visible on both the device and my my Notes Calendar. I am nervous that if I delete entries from either the device or Lotus Notes (either way will take forever) I would lose my appointments forever.

I would like to be able to just delete duplicates (through DM maybe?) and then sync back one way (not wireless). Anyone know of an easy way?

i too am having duplicate (well actually triplicate now) calendar appointments...my carrier (alltel) says there is nothing they can do. My IT guys is out of town this week. It has to do with syncing from the BES server, maybe picking up your name assocaited with two emails but linked to the same calendar, but that is purely hypothetical based on a 1 month BB owner.

Missing or Duplicate calendar entries could be related to this:

Options->Status, open the menu and choose Database Sizes. You can see exactly how much space your calendar entries are using (probably not much even if doubled up).

I'm surprised Alltel tech support couldn't help you. I'm not sure with Lotus Notes but on Outlook I would be able to help you. I don't think there is a way to delete dups on the handheld itself but you should be able to delete them from your Lotus Notes. There should be a way to display the calendar entries seperately divided in half and delete the second half of dups then hard reset your device and try syncing again. Redirector is known for dups but I'm not sure about wireless BES exchange.
