I'm not jumping down people's throats. I'm not even the least bit upset actually. I said the rep obviously has no idea what he's talking about, or he's flat out lying. Ask anyone around here - heck just read the rest of this thread, I'm not saying anything anyone else hasn't already said.
Rumor has it, key word here is 'Rumor', that the 8120 will be coming out Sept/Oct/Nov. That to me, means towards the end of the year.

a good friend in biz sales for tmo sd their rim rep showed him his 8300 and it was the papa bear with gps and wifi. He was always reliable(rim rep) regarding future models when I was there..soo we shall see.

Sadly, I'd say that even if 'a' Carrier is testing a particular model with
'certain' features, I wouldn't be too sure every feature they have on the
test unit is actually going to make it to the market launch.

If it has GPS and/or WiFi it's an 83xx but not an 8300. An 8300 is an 8300. It's just like every other BB model out there -- models with the same numbers are identical. If features are added (or if it's CDMA) it's an entirely different model.

You guys are missing the major point here with having the BB with Wi-fi. The major advantage would be to log on to your wi-fi at work, home or where ever you have wi-fi access to use the tmo@hotspot feature. Whenever you are logged on to this your minutes/usage is free and unlimited. This is a major plus for those who have poor reception at home (like I do) and maybe at work in big office building with concrete walls (i do sometimes). So ++ reception and ++ on free minutes makes it very necessary feature to have in the future for me. Although I can't say much, I have beta tested tmo@hotspot and I am very excited for a BB wi-fi phone.

plus cingular aka at&t just implemented that you need to subscribe to a blackberry international for 1 year if you want that plan just to travel abroad for like a week or 2. early termination fee for this plan is like $175.
with tmobile u just add $20 to the exisiting blackberry plan and u good to go to travel abroad with unlimited data. another reason to switch to tmobile. |

lol @ business customer. trust me i called in the past to see how much we save if we switch from a family plan to a business customer for our company...it costs more!!! for example, while we playing $30/month for a bis plan...business customer have to pay $50/month!!! and internation blackberry plan cost $150/month!!! business customer is just a fancy name for charging u more for the same service partner.
cingular is now a rip off..i dont know cuz of greedy at&t. cingular was good before at&t. at&t is gonna run cingular to the ground...mark my word.
