Time to read the manual! And, thanks again.

Glad you were able to resolve the call log problem. I would still call the IT person who set up the Blackberry. If he has his email on the BB as additional email addresses it means he set it up using the carriers BIS servers. This is a normal ability used by all blackberrys and allows users to set up 10 additional email addresses on the BB. This means he used the PIN number associated with the BB and unless he removes the association you will continue to receive his email. The servers will simply push the service books back to the BB if they are deleted and the email will continue.
You will also need the password to the BIS service to use it to set up your own additional emails. Only one BB is associated with the carriers server so you cannot do anything until this is done
All Blackberrys are given an account with the standard <
user_name>@<
serviceprovider>.blackberry.com). This allows the BB to communicate with the carriers service. From there depending on the service BIS or BES it will either become the default email or a secondary one.
As Dubdub and I suggested a call is necessary.
This is a link to RIM for setting up this service. It may offer some additional info
