hey there, i'm doing some analysis on blackberry subscribers worldwide and I've attempted to break down subscribers by carrier........I'd appreciate anybody's feedback.....

Here's my attempt to break subscribers down by carrier:

- At end of 2008 BB had approx 21M subscribers worldwide....

- I assumed 85% of the 21M BB subs were in North America and 15% the rest of the world.

- 85% of 21M is approx 18M BB in North America

I broke down the 18M BB subscribers in North America as follows

Canada:

Bell - 325K BB subscribers
Telus - 310K BB subs
Rogers - 632 BB subs

U.S.

T-Mo - 2.2M BB subs
Sprint - 3.4M BB subs
Verizon (includes Alltel) - 5.6M BB subs
AT&T - 5.4M BB sub

I had to make major assumptions as this info is impossible to find so if anybody can help, I'd really appreciate it.

You will need to contact RIM directly. I highly doubt they will provide that information to you, but you can try. You will not find that information here.

Why would you assume that 85% of RIM customers are in NA?

That in itself is way off. You can't start with an unknown or wrong assumption to have any sort of half decent analysis.
