Ditto, the keyboard on the Bold 9000 was so much better; I could type fast and accurately on that one. The 9700's keyboard has me at less than half the speed. Obviously they think everyone has small hands.

I just hate that I came from an iPhone and in the beginning I wanted to touch the screen.

I just bought my BB a few weeks ago this month. I still need to upgrade the system before I can use the SMS properly.

I have to delete the previous message from my previous contact before I could send a new SMS to another contact.

And I'm lazy to go back to the mobile shop! lol

some of the issue mentioned above:
- the small memory (I think some of the earlier models had 512 MB)
- you can not add a new phone number directly to an existing contact, you have to copy and past it.
- the browser is so old and practically useless
- and this one for all blackberries on BIS: lack of IMAP sync. specially two way sync and personal folder (basic feature in any smart phone now!!)

AT&T
Poor call quality
Can hardly ever keep a 3G signal
Browser is really weak
Key board isn't so hot, too keys are too small
In short if my employer didn't provide me with this phone I would never buy one.

Well in the beginning i had alot of problems with the bold 9700. I was very disappointed. What i did was i wiped out the OS and reinstalled it again and it resolved all the issues. Now i have no issues at all. Only bad thing now is that dropped calls with tmo. I need to hop on ATT or Verizon.

I had a 3 year old 8100 so it's hard to find anything to complain about the 9700. The keyboard is taking a bit of getting use to, but I'm liking it more as I use it.

NADT - Not a Darn Thing...just traded in my 8900 for the 9700 - so far, so good. I love it and can't wait to put some serious miles on it.

I have one complaint, although it's not a hate -
- on my 8900 with the OS I was running, it allowed me to separate my email accounts. My BES stuff went to it's folder and the Gmail went to it's folder. This one doesn't. I'm hoping I can upgrade to a different OS and change this - Just haven't had the time to research it yet. I'm running 5.0.0.405 now.

I went from an 8830 to the 9700 and back again. Apparently the 9700 works "everywhere" in the entire world... except at my cottage!

I returned it today and reactivated my 8830.

I liked the speed of the 9700 on the new network. I liked the wifi and the camera. I found the keyboard smaller than my 8830.

Once the network is upgraded at my cottage, I'll likely try it again, unless something better has come out by then.

Only 2 weeks in with my 9700, but no problems at all. I guess if I had a gripe it would be the small keys, but that's no biggee. Only added a few apps and that went well. One of my boys has a 9700, as well and has had no issues. Did we just get lucky?

I love my 9700. The long life battery, bbm, exceptional speed, call quality etc etc. The only 1 thing I might say is I did like the size of my 9000 better. It just felt better in my hands. That's it.

i like the 9700 so much i cant let it go off my hand. im a previous nokia user since i was in highschool and i gotta admit, since stepping into the BB world, i've been blown away by how this piece of device works. one thing that i only am having a hard time on is the keypad. other than that, im thankful that i purchased this beauty.

Yes, I know, I can shut data off, but then my BB mail won't work either;
or I can use a 3rd party app (which I do), but it doesn't work that good to say the least.

So there you have it. I really hate that.
I wish there was a way to easily shut down selective email accounts that are set up in your BB at a flip of a switch, and then turn them back on at another flip of a switch.
If you go into BIS and choose your email account, click FILTERS, and under WHEN NO FILTERS APPLY, choose DO NOT FORWARD MESSAGES TO DEVICE that will stop sending emails. Then change it back when you leave work. Not exactly "flipping a switch", but takes a few seconds.

I hate the small keyboard, single speaker pointing to the back (not stereo like 9000) and the lock button on the top left gets pushed way too easy without a case on. I would just stick with the 9000, but the battery life, low memory, and 2.0MP camera were finally deal breakers. But damn those were the best cell phone speakers on the Bold 9000.

I hate 2 things about my 9700, which I've had since 2/10.

First, I hate that the software designers make you go through so many steps to add people in Blackberry Messenger. Scanning barcodes is the neatest thing ever! Why not put a "Scan Barcode" and "Show Barcode" on the first menu in BBM? I've several times given up looking for it and just handed my phone to the other person.

Second, I think the trackpad is a definite downgrade from the trackball. It's not very precise and I constantly find myself spending several seconds longer to choose things because it passes over the icon I want. It also has an annoying way of moving out of the typing area in texts when my thumb is nowhere near the trackpad.

Give us the trackball back!!!!!!
