Hey guys i need to make or find and app that i can scan a barcode and store it in a DB file?

so i figured i would do a web site with a mysql database.that part is figured out ..but it is the BB side that im lost..

there is an app called evernote that references to a web site.i like the feature that you press snapshot and it opens your cam then when your done taking the pic on exit it goes back to the page and uploads it..

so how do they do that?

cause on my web page i will have a field..but how can i get the scan to insert in that field..

sorry for the confusion..lol

web side im good.but i haven't developed in a long time..

There is a Barcode reading API in the new JDE 6.0

I have downloaded an app to read barcodes, but it seems to be linked to the Service Provider... can anyone recommend a universal app to read all barcodes regardeless ?
What would be the application to create barcodes ?

Good to know. My company has been trying to do barcoding ever since we initially created our application. We had to try with a Bluetooth enabled reader, but nobody liked the idea of carrying around two things for something that was only needed a small amount of time.

I'm guessing this API will work similar to what I've seen on an Android device.
