Something is going on in the US now.... my BIS device cannot send or receive any email within the last 45 mins or so.

Also, BoxTone is showing me that 75% of our Sprint and 70% of our Verizon users have 'pending' emails.

OCS (via BB) isn't working for me (and no e-mail) but it is working for others on different BES in the same site.

I am on Verizon. It has been down since about 7:30 am EDT. No emails, no internet. Nothing.

We're seeing around 50-75% on all of our servers and similar across all US-based carriers that we use.

This is corporate self destruction, live.
They weren't doing to well to begin with, this is just a series of nails in the coffin.

Any company that was at the point where they had to decide on BB or not. now goes "not". Any company that had itself tied to the BB solution, will now seek to untie itself, or at the very least diversify.

BB had long held the trust of the many of CxO's, upper management and VIP's.. They are burning up goodwill at alarming speed through lack of communication and the most visible and large outage ever...

This ain't a gamers network , this is corporate comms.. It throws all claims , technical and marketing wise out the window.. How can they sell the solution if everybody laughs at em??

It's unimaginable.

Emails in both directions over BES are either very delayed (deliver over an hour later) or they don't deliver at all. BB handhelds always think the emails failed to send (red X) even if they did deliver but were delayed. Changes made in the rest of the PIM - Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Notes seem to fail (no successful changes noticed in testing yet).

BB handhelds are on Orange UK and have Uppercase signal strength, there are no MS Exchange issues - IEMSTest.exe on a BB User's mailbox is fully successful, the Internet connection is working, Test Network Connection to gb.srp.blackberry.com on port 3101 is Successful, Test SQL Server Connection is Successful, and yes I've taken the battery out and put it back in!

BIS data is working fine on BB handhelds however and has been for the duration of the EMEA outage.

I hope RIM have this fixed by the morning or I'm in for a bad day!

Here's an update 18 hours on from when I first noticed BES data delays of over an hour on my User's handhelds. Things have improved in that delays sending/receiving email are now between a few minutes and around 20 minutes and I can perform Lookups against the GAL to put names in the TO: field when creating a new email (last night Lookups would time-out).

I do however still have an unusually high number of Pending Data Packets (Messages) awaiting delivery to handhelds and it's rising so I think my 75 handhelds must be experiencing varying and random lengths of delays.

I am wondering if the BES data delays are a result of the huge backlog of BIS data that RIM is having to process after the BIS outage? I'm also wondering if the fact that some countries are still having a BIS outage means the delays for BES data will continue until all the BIS problems have been fixed?

Third day in London, BIS dead in the water, browsing, bbm and any app/service that transports blackberry infrastructure dead. BES mail delivers though, had some hickups but works for me now.

Absolutely unacceptable, third day and we're not done yet. Thread title needs to be adjusted, that's not an EMEA only outage. That's a worldwide service meltdown.

I find funny how they write on the website as if just some ppl were experiencing problems. RIM apparently isnt taking the facts straight and I want to see how they will put themselves after this mess, what will they say to make us believe they are taking the right measures to ensure a better service for the future!
I never considered changing smartphone but Im re-thinking.
Tmob still doenst have the 9810 and if the Samsung Nexus Prime be as good as it looks I might just go for it until RIM bring up a better, more actual, device!

Good thing to combine a genuine service problem with the fact that T-Mobile doesn't carry the model BB you want. REALLY?

Its a problem that affects me so I assume it is. The carrier doesnt supply the device I want and If I feel the others are not what I'm looking for why shouldnt I change until something more appropirate comes out. Cant see a problem with my previous statement...

Again, RIM response to the problem has been outrageous and when a report come out (if) I'll look for what is better for me. Im the one paying the bill!

Edit: "I've got the Power!!! xD"
Just cant get my BB to work! :(

RIM's outage (and traditional, usual terrible response) has nothing to do with the fact that your carrier doesn't carrier a model you want!

How can you link the two? If T-Mobile UK doesn't carry the model you want (read: didn't pay RIM for it) then complain to them.

RIM's inexcusable silence about the outage has nothing to do with that!
