Here are some of the issues I have had with OS6 and I'm hoping someone can help me with them:

I no longer receive notifications that I have voice mail. I was sporadically receiving calls, and had sprint fix that by removing my phone and re-adding it to their system. But I still do not receive notification that I have a voicemail waiting.

I can send and receive pictures via sms/mms most of the time. Sporadically I can not receive them and get a notice saying that the file hasn't been downloaded yet. When I click download now, "receiving" pops on the screen for a brief second and then nothing else happens.

BBM doesn't seem to always work unless I am connected to wi-fi. Has anyone else seen this issue?

Thanks in advance for the help/comments

I have experienced all of these. The joy of leaked software.

I have been using the RIM VVM application since the VZW one wouldn't load. It IS sporadic and they other day I did a battery pull and suddenly had two voice mail messages.

I also have the issues with the picture messages. Battery pull fixed this too. Until next time. In fact, a picture battery pull is how I got the voice mail from above.

I am not a big BBM user but I have noticed this too.

Can you explain where the option to "Attach a picture, etc" is? Its no where when I'm in a txt message composition (or anywhere else in the phone from what I can see)

If you go into your pictures and hit the menu button it gives you a send option and you can choose MMS, email, Messenger contact, etc...

I have been using 6.0 for about 2 weeks and it seems fine, the only issue is it seems to slow sometimes, but then it speeds back up. As far as I can tell I havnt had any of the problems others have had. I don't use voicedial, but I do us Facebook and it works fine on mine. BBM has worked fine and backed up like it was supposed to. I guess I've been lucky so far, hopefully it don't totally crash tomorrow or something now that i've said that

You might try updating to the .280 leak. Smoothed running operations out alot. I find that if I ever see sluggish behavior, I just go into Options/Device/Application Management/ Then slide once to the right to see CPU usage. There is generally some app hogging cycles. Ive noticed the browser and google maps have been known to take 99% cpu occasionally if idle for a long period of time. Simply close them and everything settles down.

Exactly what he said if doing it from pictures. If you're in "Text Messages", menu > "Compose Text Message" > move your cursor to the message bar where you'll be typing the actual message, hit the "menu" button again, and one of the options will be "Attach" with a right arrow for a submenu. Scroll right and the first option on the submenu is "Picture", followed by Video, Location, Audio, Voice Note, Contact, and Appointment. Select "Picture" and your photo albums should open, with "Camera Pictures", "Picture Library" and "Samples" as options. Select a picture from any of them, and it attaches to the text and you get the pop-up window saying "MMS Mode. May incur extra costs".

Anyone know how to download this? Everytime I try to get it download using my BB it says the file is too large to download?

Should I download it to my PC, then transfer it to the BB?

You download it to a PC, then install it to the BB.

Check out BlackBerry FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ and read up there - it's a great place for new users.

I am also having problems with voicemail notifications. Since the upgrade to this OS, my phone no longer notifies me of voicemails when I receive them. This is also occuring on several other devices I deployed this version of the OS to.

Thoughts?

Another thing I noticed is that scrolling side to side to other days in calendar view is difficult, no where near sensitive enough. Also have noticed the no camera light for video camera.

One thing I've noticed or have experienced with these 6.0 leaks, is that every once in a while I will have to either resend my service books or register with the network again.

I ran into the problem last night where some apps (Facebook & Twitter) wouldn't let me use them because my service plan didn't support them. The only solution was to re-register with the network (Options -> Device -> Advanced System Settings -> Host Routing Table -> Menu -> Register Now.)

I have seen that with both builds, only twice each time.

yesterday I had a lot of problems with the overall OS stability. It started randomly typing characters, resetting itself, and the track pad not working. I went back to 5.0.0.810 today and it seems to be fine, so I don't think the issues I was having were device related as much as OS. Hoping for an official 6.0 release for the 9650 soon!!

I wish I tried the service books before I went back to 5.0 lol
