My issues have only been with social feeds.

I now only use it for RSS feeds.

The social feeds are okay. I too only used it for RSS feeds. I keep the BBM option so I may copy article titles

I haven't had any issues with App world. Everything I have tried has downloaded and installed successfully.

Some other OTA things have been flaky. I tried to re-download BerryWeather direct from Bellshare and it failed. I tried from App World and it worked. I ended up loading it on the computer and installing it with Desktop.

No Google apps would download. Maps and Gmail both fail. Prompts like normal then asks you to save it, then fails.

I host Enterprise Messenger on the employer's website for OTA, and that works perfectly.

My thought is if it is actually on the host side of it reading the device and browser improperly. No real idea. Just "supposing"

I have and issue with Profiles.

I liked in 5.0 that when you set a tone for a particular alert, it set it everywhere and that you could then adjust the vibrate, volume, etc. beyond that or create a custom.

So far in 6, a change in a tone for an alert (email, text, etc.) seems to propagate between Loud, Normal, and Medium, but doesn't change custom profiles.

This might be by design, but what is wrong with having the tone be able to be (Normal) like the other settings?

Bugs I have seen so far:

1. The RIM Twitter app goes bunkers. More so when integrated with Social Feeds.

2. Post sent to Facebook via Social Feeds occasionally do not go through or are delayed when sending.

3. My BBM completely reset as if I never used. Removing my contacts and groups.

4. I have yet to download a full pod cast without it failing.

5. Contact pictures seem to disappear.

6. I've marked 2 email icons a "favorite" however randomly they will disappear from the "favorite" tab.

Still though many new features, and these bugs are bearable. I still yet to customize my profiles too much. (I am awaiting the next leak anxiously )

I find that 6.0.222 works very well but the voice dial feature is dead. You can train the device but then it will not work. I have tried it over the handheld itself and over 2 blue tooth devices (Plantronics and GM Built in.) Has anybody else had this problem or come up with a solution. You can train the device to recognize your voice but then thats about it.

Voice dialing has the "train" feature since OS 4.7 I believe.

I admit I have tried it recently and it appears it did not hear me.

We will probably have to wait for another leak.

Voice Dialing and the light for the Video Camera are "known" issues with this leak. PTT is also a known issue. Other issues seem to be sporadic. I have been using the leak for almost a week now. It integrated just fine with all my e-mail accounts (BES and BIS). I had the browser problem initially but one reset fixed that. I have experienced the .jad file problem but I have been able to save and then load each time. Admittedly, I do not run a lot of third party apps.

I do miss some of the ring tones. I am hoping that the developers are keeping an eye on the forums and we see them back in future releases.

I also questioned the BB browser versus Internet browser setting. I always kept mine set to Internet browser so that the traffic was not going across the BES. Occasionally, I do hit sites that would be blocked by the company filter. In researching, I found that the new browser is supposed to be intelligent enough to determine this on it's own. In conjuction with my BES Admin, we did a test and I found I was able to navigate to sites that would normally be filtered on the BB browswer. My only problem with the browser is when I am connected to WiFi and I tell the browser to go home (set by BES Admin as an internal page), I get page not found error. This is no big deal to me as I don't ever use that page anyway.

All in all, this has been a pretty decent first leak. I remember well the first OS 5 leaks and they were a nightmare! I am finally starting to feel as if I know where things are. Hopefully, things will only get better from here!

For those of you with OTA issues, I see that Google apps are an issue for at least me

Scassel,

Thanks for the update. I guess we will live with the issue until the "offical" release drops. Thanks for your help.

Concerning the Voice dialing, I am able to do voice dialing via BT, using my car.

Default MMS Lost

I didnt notice this until just now, but I can no longer receive or send MMS messages in OS6. Anyone else observe this behavior or find a fix?

Using the "Text Messages" icon, the only menu option is "Compose Text Message" and it defaults to SMS with no option showing for MMS. But...if you attach a picture, etc, to the message you get a pop up window for about 3 seconds that says "MMS Mode. May incur extra costs" and the picture goes through just fine. I've also been able to receive sent pictures via MMS with no problem.

You are the very first person that has been able to use this in OS 6. I'd ask what your trick was but I bet it is just one of those things

I figure... and this is just speculation.

The BB device itself is not listening when Voice dialing is enabled.

Since my car has BT built in and gets my address book from my phone, my car is picking the contact and it is doing nothing but telling my BlackBerry who to tell..
