Earlier reports have noted that the volume was lower and that the voice dialing feature was no longer available. I'm wondering if any AT&T with a Curve 8310 have noticed the above differences? That is what has been holding me back from updating.

Maybe I don't use SMS that much (so I might not know what I'm talking about) but this appears to offer threaded SMS messages.

Many many users will be happy to see that feature added.

The noticeable changes on my 8320

1) Little bit more memory.
2) Voice calls exhibit low volume.

I don't care about volume since 98% of my calling is done via my Bluetooth earpiece that's LOUD anyhow. If this has threaded SMS then I'll be doing cartwheels down the hallway. Well I'll ask my wife to do them for me since my old ass couldn't do one anyhow ;)

I'm just waiting for the final reboot now, then I'll know once it's done getting the restore done and the EA done.

Threaded sms has been a feature of bb's since I've known them.

It has? Maybe you need to answer all the hundreds of posts here on BBF explaining how and where it is a feature.

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ml#post1172771

etc., and so on...

And if it were a feature, why would we need a third party application to do it?

See above. It may not be the full continuous threading as found on the iphone or the treo's but it's still threaded. It threads one conversation at a time. It doesn't thread my contact.
