Default 4.5.0.119 for 8330

Its apparently the leaked Sprint OS so you'll have to delete the vendor file unless you are on sprint.

Took a bit for me to realise that I had to use loader.exe - I upgraded the Desktop Manager to 4.7 since my last OS upgrade.

Luckily I did a FULL backup before running it because it jumped straight to erasing files and didn't offer to do an backup. Whole thing only took about 10 minutes, though.

Reboot was scary, white screen with a timer icon that didn't move for close to 5 minutes then I pulled the battery and it did the same thing while flashing. Weird. All good after another few minutes.

Used Desktop Manager to restore the backup and messages/tasks/notes/address book are back but I lost my themes and all applications. Again, this is something that has never happened to me on an OS upgrade before.

Will update tomorrow on improvements etc.

I like the "it's not a beta but a prerelease" blurb. It's no different than any other leaked OS.

Well apparently the reason they are saying its a pre release is because the vendor file is for sprint. But I don't dabble in beta OS so if that is the norm idk, I just thought I'd pass this on.

Browser seems to be much faster in these release than it was in .97 - could be a network load issue also. Speakerphone blast still present. Seems just as fast as .97 was also.

I am upgrading now. I actually somehow managed to get rid of the speaker blast in .97 by wiping my BB with jl_cmdr and reinstalling. After that, the blast never came back. I am taking the same approach with this one and will report back.

There are massive arguments at Crackberry about that stupid speaker blast. Some people have it and some never have...
Crazy technology

Agreed. At the moment I am happy to report that I do NOT have the speaker blast. I have, however, had it on all other versions of 4.5 until I wiped with JL_Cmdr and re-installed .97. So far, no real noticeable differneces on .119 but I haven't really played with it too much. Will post more as I come across things.
