I just upgraded (?) from the 8700c to the 8703e due to company contract. Downloaded the zen theme that jibi has posted. And yes, it does not have the option to turn off the menu names. The zen theme contained in the Bharti release of the OS had a version that had an option to turn off menu names. Under Options, there was a Home Screen menu item. Clicking that, you could uncheck the 'Show application names' option. There is no such menu item on the zen theme posted by jibi.

So jibi, any way you could post the 'older' version of the zen theme? Not sure if this is possible. I don't know why this bothers me so much.

I did install the desktop softwware from one of your links in another thread. So how do i insall the phone software. I didnt know they wouldn't be installed as a package.

I know I've done this before when I upgraded my old 7250 to 4.1x, i just can't get past this point.

It's the OS not the theme that restricts this ability, unfortunately.

Ok jibi. Thanks. It's odd that advanced options were removed for a later version.

Thanks Jibli, I was not able to get the Zen on my 8700r using the hack method as our company locks our notebooks down. With the OTA version it was a snap. It would be great to have a Themes Only site, where there it is controlled and locked so all that is there is themes without the pages and pages of dialogue. A quick way to get to where one needs to go.
Thanks

Thanks psp, I found it and I love it. What a great theme! Put a nice photo that I took up as my wallpaper and messed with the fonts to make them smaller.

Yeah, I think it will be a while before I use a different theme.

Thanks again!

and thanks for not answering that jgb.

Default Orange Icon OTA

Has this been posted anywhere et? I did a search and din't see anythig ther than posts asking for it. I updated my 8700c to the latest upgrade and wasn't even thinking about the fact that I had loaded the Bharti os on there. I was going to try and see if I could figure out how to make my own jad for it but thought I would post first to see if has been done. Thanks

Default Move/ hide icons in Zen theme?

After trying to follow all the threads on hacking Blackberry.alx and have it load all the other themes EXCEPT Zen, I finally found this link to the .jad file and - Bam - it works on my 8703e running 4.1.0.344.
Now, the question is, How do I move icons and hide the ones I don't use. I love having the screen visible, but the icons seem hardwired. Holding Alt and the thumbwheel doesn't bring up the move/hide menu, it just activates the app. I don't use SMS and don't want it on the top level. I would like the calendar there. Also in the "Start Menu" there are apps I don't use and ones I'd like farther up the list. Can't seem to move hide them either. Anybody figure out how to do this? I like the theme (especially after all the work of trying to get it on) but it's not useful to me the way it's configured - too much work to get to the things I want quickly.
