Why not just post the price? Why waste time exchanging emails I mean everyone else who can unlock the 8700r posts their price. Are you quoting people different prices via email? If so thats shady. Also why do you care where someone is from or better yet what they do? That has nothing to do with unlocking the Blackberry. Also seems like only 1 person has gotten their 8700 unlocked from you... I would like to get more feedback to see if you're "legit"

Unfortunatelt gsmps doesn't do the 8700r at this time. Unless that has changed. I'm going to have to contact Adam.

Maybe I am just too ignorant, but what would I lose, or in what kind of trouble, if someone have my IMEI? All my account information is on my SIM, which I can put into any unlocked devices I want.

Well I've heard mixed things about it - the biggest "negative" being that it's one step closer to someone being able to clone your phone...

How can some one clone my phone with my IMEI? You mean they make a phone with the same IMEI as mine? Why would they need an IMEI to do that? They can simply use a IMEI generator and validator to get one.

And what can they do with a device that has the same IMEI with mine, they can make calls and put the tab on my bill? Remeber the account is tie to a SIM, not a IMEI.

I would think that someone would have to clone your SIM card and the IMEI would not be of any consequence..

Just my thoughts

I'm aware of that - but I posed the question initially because I've read conflicting "opinions" on various message boards.

I'm not really trying to start a debate or not - I'm just asking flat out - is there any danger in giving some stranger your IMEI #?
