Default No wireless emails to/from BES account

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all, newbie here.

Ive been floating about here for a couple of weeks and banging heavily on the search button to no avail. Picked up some great tips though! haha.

Ive got an 8820 supplied by parent co in the UK which cannot send/recieve emails unless connected to DM.

Symptoms:
When plugged into my laptop, no probs, all emails sent/received fine.
Unplugged no incoming emails, sent emails get the big red X.
Emails to/from BIS account (gmail) no probs.
DM setup to work with BES (reinstallled to make sure!)
Enterprise activated, though it would only activate when plugged into laptop.

Note that I dont have access to the BES.

Any suggestions on what to try next? There's no specific BB guy int he IT dept in UK that can help. GahhH!

Cheers all.

Welcome to the forums.

On the messages with the red X, open one up and scroll up. What is the 'message status' show?

Also, can you do a PIN to PIN message with another company user?
What is a PIN message

Service blocked? That usually indicates an issue with the carrier, although it usually means you can't send/receive PIN messages.

I think you're going to have to contact your BES Admin guy/team on this one, unless someone else pipes up.

Do you know if anyone at your company is having this issue?

Has the carrier provisioned the sim card with a BB Enterprise plan?
Or a Personal plan?

OK, getting somewhere now! Its provisioned for personal use only. Evidently when I changed the billing and physical addresses for the plan it was changed from BES to BIS (or BES to personal in their language) BTW, Im now onto dept no 9, 2nd staff member!
