So, what's the demand for sliders? Seriously, I'm asking because I don't know. Is the fraction of slider devices going up? Down? Holding steady?

I guess it depends if any carriers push for such a form factor or maybe rim won't know what else to do for next year's bold.

Most Sliders are typically touch screens, Let's let RIM get the touch screen correct before jumping into Sliders

(Granted the Storm2 is a fairly decent touch screen, I have to admit the touch screen on the iPod Touch is extremely easy to deal with)

all there phones are great i have the storm 1 right now its awesome. ive never had a slider phone and i think i would like one so i was wondering if blackberry would ever create one

rim is working on a slider touchscreen actually. I think its still in hardware/board design phase though

I for one would welcome a slider. I love the touchscreen's usability when navigating the web or the device. Yet I'm sticking with my 9700 because I find it hard to use the touchscreen when typing narratives, especially long emails.

A slider would be perfect. Use the touchscreen to navigate, use the keyboard for word processing.
