i can finally get real ringtones on the 7100i. It took me hours or research and found out that it supports wav files only. If anyone would like me to make an .ipd file so u can load it to your blackberry, pm me or send me an e-mail with the wave file you would like. Hope to help people out with this...

What program are you using to create the .idp, and how are you loading the .idp onto the 7100i?

8700 content store backup; or device simulator content store backup ...not sure if either methods would work, but it's worth a shot.

its true that u can have wava ring tones on here. u can use photopix to put them on there. but converting it to wava is a ***** i'm usin cooledit pro to try and do it but i' havent been succecful yet

use cool edit but when you save your file sav as ACM(waveform) just remember the longer the ringtone the longer it takes to load onto phone

I can gurantee this will work I have work on trying to load shit on this phone for a longtime so try it and if it doesnt work its a mistake that youre making


the longest ringtone I made was 29 sec if you ever used myjal on other nextel motorola phones you know it takes a little while to load onto phone

I have a small ringtone converted to the acm file type. but desktop manager will not allow me to put it on the phone. Where can i get this photopix demo from?

alrighty, i got this to actually work. seems like i can use it with normal calls from specific people. but if they try to alert me, it does not play anything.

also my question is this, if i do buy this program phonepix. will i be able to use it on my 7100i and my wifes? $30 bucks is a lot if i cant.

Well folks, this little app seems to be a lot of fun. But after emailing the guy that made it, I think I have decided to just wait until the actualy Blackberry update comes out. I received an email from the maker and he is not willing to give out multi licenses for this product. Both my wife and I have the 7100i and he wants me to spend $60 bucks for this app. In my opinion that is waaaaaayyyy to much cash to spend just to hear some ring tones. So i will pass.
