Whats is this key used for. I for some reason cant figure it out?

Normally. It opens the Profiles App, allowing you to quickly change notificatons and alerts. You can change what it does in Options Screen/Keyboard

i changed mine to keyboard lock. works pretty smooth for me like that.

I have mine set to open Messages.....allows me to check new emails from within any application, with one click.

I don't have dial from homescreen enabled so K does lock my unit. Still I like the side convenience key allowing fast one-handed locking when I am out and around. I always want to be password protected outside except when I am actually using the unit.

I use mine for my contacts and I use the front covience button for my calander. Personaly choice really.
