I have a Verizon BB that I just updated to the new OS .713, since that time I can no longer change my "Security Timer Reset" form Deny to allow.

This is preventing some of my apps from working. I am using BES however, as I said, this was working prior to the last update. Should I go back to the OS I was using before??

Misery loves company. I have googled looking for a workaround to no avail and was hoping some of the good folks here have figured this out and how to correct. Thanks for your response.

If memory serves, this change came along with OS 5 and or BES 5.0 upgrades. It is more detailed control, particularly for BES users. Most of the software manufacturers have been updating their products to work with these changes. As always, with an upgrade, there will be a curve for the manufacturers to overcome.

I doubt you will ever have control of this setting as long as you are on a BES. If you have apps that are not working, I would recommend contacting the vendor. They will most likely provide an update in the near future.

I installed 5.0.0.1206 (5.0.0.713) on my Storm2 and now Security Timer Reset can't be changed from Deny to Allow. I am not on BES so how could this policy get put on? Now how to I fix it? It is forcing me to put a password on the BB and it seems that Content Protection is turned on and now I can't turn it off. HELP!!!!!
